All that meat

The protestants in Tanzania sent a demand to the Minister of Social Relations and Coordination that he should grant them the right to own their own butcheries. Traditionally all butcheries in Tanzania are owned by Muslims and it is only Muslims who may legally sell meat to the public.

The Minister denied the demand of the protestant church leaders saying that otherwise tanzanian religious tolerance could be endangered. Of course it remains open if that is true, but one thing is: in Tanzania, only Muslim ladies can marry a butcher :)
