For the fun of it

Strategic planning, programme design, budgeting, implementation timeframes and the like are all very fine, useful and needed and I can do them. But being stuck in a tiny little office with a huge bunch of papers and a laptop is not really my idea of fun.

Luckily, my colleague Grace, our Human Rights Officer, took pity on me the other day and took me with her on a field trip, visiting a school club on disability that ICD supports. I got to talk to a disabled class of students with their special needs teachers and to visit a disabled girls' home.

I am telling you, just being in a rural school again with all those children lifted up my spirits immensely... That kind of work I think is a lot of fun!
