Since the standard of Tanzanian universities, although by no means low, still cannot be compared to that of the universities of the developed world, studying abroad is a dream for most young students. Obviously, the interest is mutual - every university which can boast with students from all over the world authomatically improves its image a great deal. And NOW seems to be THE season for university hunters in Tanzania... There are announcements in the newspapers, huge billboards on the roads, university fairs all over the place...
Yes, there are some English universities trying to attract students for themselves. But they are far outdone by universities from Malasyia (the absolute winner regarding self-marketing), Pakistan and my favourite new kid on the block - Russia! So which one would you choose?
